Wool Sponges

$11

We are very excited to offer these wool sponges made locally by Full Circle Wool!

Use wool sponges to do the dishes, to wash your face & body, or to clean surfaces. Clean and durable, these sponges do not get gross or smelly and last for a long time. Because wool is naturally antimicrobial and antifungal, they do not harbor molds and bacterias. When you're done with them, they are compostable.

How to Wash: Rinse with warm water, squeeze out, and lay flat to dry. Use soap for stains. You can put them in the dishwasher but NOT the laundry machine. Sun is a natural sanitizer of wool. These sponges are made of wool and thus will shrink with initial use. Please DO NOT CUT THEM, they will shrink down to the size of a regular sponge, and get a bit more scrubby over time.

How long do they last: When well taken care of, they can last for about a year, way longer than your typical dish sponge.

I'm a Wool Sponge Convert

I really like these! They hold soap and stay sudsy for a long time, they wring out well, don't collect goop and food particles, and I haven't even missed the green scrubby side of regular sponges. These seem to scrub well without and are thinner so it's easier to wash fiddly bits on equipment, utensils, etc. It also feels really good to know that these will last quite a while and are compostable once we're done with them.

Not good for multi use

I really wanted to like this sponge. This sponge might be good for dishes. I tried to use it in the bathroom but I didn't find that it was scrubbing well.

Life changing sponge!

My biggest pet peeve is when sponges smell gross, leave my hands smelling gross, and then throwing them out. We can use this sponge for 6 months and it never gets that nasty sponge smell. We end up getting a new one because they get a little hard and don't absorb much soap towards the end of their life cycle. I now am friends with sponges (but only these ones). Thank you!

Exceeded Expectations

I have been trying different alternatives to plastic sponges and this is the best one so far (been using it for 2 weeks)! It's great for dishes and pans and glasses. So far I haven't found a job it wasn't up for. I was worried about it holding lots of gunk and not rinsing well, but that hasn't been an issue. My husband was VERY skeptical. But he even said they work really well and he is impressed.

So happy with these!

I was convinced my husband would hate these, but we both really like them! I throw it in the dishwasher if it gets a little strained and it comes out looking pretty perfect. They dry quickly and don’t smell. Really, no drawbacks to these vs regular sponges. Only positives!
