This Friday, 5% of our sales will be donated to a local organisation in honor of Native American Heritage Day.
Sogorea Te' Land Trust is a Bay Area urban Indigenous women-led land trust that facilitates the return of Indigenous land to Indigenous people.
They have several projects in the East Bay, one of them being in our neighborhood: the Gill Tract Community Farm, on San Pablo ave in Albany, focuses on food justice and urban farming.
We hope that our donation will help Sogorea Te' Land Trust develop more urban gardens like this one and will contribute to their mission to bring back cultural knowledges and practices, and to educate the public.
