Natural Toothpaste

I gave this a try (in Peppermint) after I couldn't get over the consistency of the toothpaste tablets. Very happy to say that this is like a "normal" toothpaste just without the tube and plastic. Be aware that it doesn't create very much foam, but I read recently that foam doesn't actually clean your teeth better. Foam in toothpaste was created as a marketing gimmick to make people feel like their teeth were getting cleaner, but it's not actually necessary.
The flavor is nice and mild and the paste rinses away well. It's also nice that the jar is relatively small so packing it for travel is very convenient.

We have been looking for a zero waste toothpaste for way too long. We are alternating between mint and spearmint flavor. This toothpaste does not "mousse" as regular one which I like, because then it's even easier to walk around while brushing my teeth.

I like this toothpaste a lot- the spearmint flavor is pretty sweet and creamy. Easy to use, lasts a long time, and you don't need to use that much of it at a time.
The only thing missing is a stronger ingredient that protects your teeth- the main protecting/cleaning ingredients are baking soda and xylitol. But you could alternate with another toothpaste, or you might not have to worry about that issue if you don't get a lot of cavities. For myself I am alternating with Bite (another zero waste brand) and seeing how that goes.

My daughter loves this toothpaste but I had to stop buying it after we broke 3 of them and glass in the bathroom it's not ideal with a little one. I hope they will find a new non-glass (tin?) solution to buy it again!

I've tried and finished spearmint (see my other review) and got peppermint next. Strangely I prefer the spearmint, but regardless of flavor (they're both good) it solidified this product as my favorite toothpaste so far. I've tried various tooth powders, tabs, diy versions, but this is it. I love not having to struggle with tubes and the jars are easy to reuse. In a perfect world we'd be able to refill the jars :) i have sensitive teeth and worried changing toothpastes might have an effect but so far switching to a natural or alternative tooth cleaning products have not triggered any sensitivity. Win win!
